Building the tools I couldn't find on the market

Hi, I'm Michał.

I have spent over 15 years working in the IT industry. During this time, I've learned one fundamental truth: the best products are born when the creator is their own most demanding customer.

Why Volter Labs?

When solar panels first landed on my roof, my IT-driven brain immediately started looking for data. I wanted precise forecasts to truly manage my home's energy. I tested the solutions available on the market, but I was always left wanting more. Most offered generic "one-size-fits-all" data, while the more advanced ones were either locked within proprietary manufacturer ecosystems or required expensive subscriptions that undermined the actual ROI of the solar investment.

I decided to use my experience in IT to build an ecosystem that is open, precise, and focused on real-world profitability for the PV owner.

Innovation: "Rocket Science" on your roof

Most forecasting apps work "off the shelf" — they provide the same generic answer to everyone in your area. I wanted more. With Volcast, instead of relying on approximations, I went back to the fundamentals: celestial mechanics, satellite data, and advanced mathematics.

At the core of the system is a proprietary auto-calibration engine utilizing a Kalman filter — the same technology used to stabilize rocket flight in aerospace engineering.

Because of this, the app doesn't just "give you the weather." It learns the unique characteristics of your roof every single day. The system analyzes your actual yields and constantly adjusts the model, accounting for your panel tilt, local micro-conditions, and even dust accumulation. This is the level of personalization that was missing from other tools — precision that translates into real savings.

Modern Craftsmanship: Architect + AI

At Volter Labs, I believe in full transparency. I am a solo founder and the architect of this solution, but Claude AI has been my primary partner in coding and optimizing the algorithms.

By combining my technical expertise with the power of Artificial Intelligence, I was able to build an engine (based on solar physics and Kalman filters) that rivals solutions from large corporations, while maintaining the agility of a small, independent laboratory.

The Vision: From Knowledge to Automation

Volcast (forecasting) is only the beginning. The next step is Volter — a smart hub that will connect with your inverter, Home Assistant, or local network to actively control your home appliances based on these live forecasts.

My Philosophy

Tech for Profit

My background in economics means I look at code through the lens of ROI. Volter Labs tools are designed to save you money, not to be another recurring cost.

Integration on Your Terms

I build open solutions. Whether you just want to check the forecast in the app or wire up your entire home via API — you decide how deep the integration goes.

A Direct Line

There is no "support department" here. If you have a question or a suggestion, you are talking directly to the creator.
